So you might have noticed that there were no meeting notes this week. That's because I finished off the last sketchbook and have forgotten to take home the current sketchbook for scanning. I will endeavor to remember this week to do so.
In the meantime, here's a sketch I did yesterday from a photo I took on
our trip to France. It's of a small hilltop town in the Cote du Rohn region called Le Crestet. I mostly did it because I recently stumbled across the book
All Over Coffee and was blown away by the work of
Paul Madonna. This was my attempt to do something in that style. Click on the thumb for a larger version.

So I haven't gotten around to uploading (or indeed even finish scanning) Vol. 10 of Meeting Notes, so in it's place I offer another installment of
From The Sketchbook.
So here are some evil robots:

Another sketch from a photo. This time of the "Little Odessa" (Brighton Beach) area in NYC. This one was done with the pocket brush pen and then colored with a
Pitt brush pen.

This sketch was done from a photo I took in the walled city of St-Malo on my last trip to France in '03. This is from the top of the wall looking down on the hotel in which I stayed. The sign says "Chien du Guet", which I think means "watchdog".
Things were a little slow at work so I did this to occupy my time. Sketched with my Pocket Brush and the scanned and colored in Photoshop. I was mostly inspired to do this sketch by the amazing
Back Alleys sketches on
Michael Cho's blog. Though my efforts pale in comparison.
