Step 7:

And there you have it. I hope now you can fold a fitted sheet with confidence and alacrity. Personally, I feel that even though you
can fold a fitted sheet, it's not worth the effort.

I have always contended that it is impossible to fold a fitted sheet and that the best one could hope for was a vaguely rectangular result. I would scoff at peoples claims otherwise.
Well recently for work I had to do a series of illustration demonstrating that not only was it possible to fold a fitted sheet, but also how to do it.
Since I have been very lax lately about putting up meeting notes (I've scanned a bunch in and should have some for next Friday), I thought I would put up these over the next week.
I present you with step one in sketch and final form. I would just like to note here that these were done on a
Cintiq tablet that we had in the department for a few days, and if any one ever wanted to get me one of these as a gift I wouldn't turn it down.
I'm not going to put up the copy that went along with these, as if I've done my job, the illustrations should tell the whole story.

So you might have noticed that there were no meeting notes this week. That's because I finished off the last sketchbook and have forgotten to take home the current sketchbook for scanning. I will endeavor to remember this week to do so.
In the meantime, here's a sketch I did yesterday from a photo I took on
our trip to France. It's of a small hilltop town in the Cote du Rohn region called Le Crestet. I mostly did it because I recently stumbled across the book
All Over Coffee and was blown away by the work of
Paul Madonna. This was my attempt to do something in that style. Click on the thumb for a larger version.

Welcome to Volume 10 of Meeting Notes. This volume encompasses December 05 through July 06. This is the last book from the archives, so were almost caught up to real time. Unfortunately, these four images are all I have scanned in from Vol 10 so far but I intend to do more this weekend.

So I haven't gotten around to uploading (or indeed even finish scanning) Vol. 10 of Meeting Notes, so in it's place I offer another installment of
From The Sketchbook.
So here are some evil robots:

Welcome to post-Thanksgiving Meeting Notes. Some of you might have the day off. I do not. But I'm not bitter.
We had a fantastic thanksgiving with 18 of our nearest and dearest. I hope you all had a great one as well.
And with these we finish off volume 9. These are from April of '06. I have about half of volume 10 scanned in but I've not gotten them uploaded to my server yet so I'll have to do that this weekend.

It's time once again for meeting notes. Today's are a lovely batch from December 05 and January 06, beginning with three pages of random guys.

Followed by a sketch for a possible mural to go on my bedroom wall, when we are finished stripping wallpaper and resurfacing.

And then a vampire dude.

This is Volume 9 of Meeting Notes and we are actually getting fairly recent with this batch. I started this volume in December of '05 and I decided that instead of just grabbing the notebooks from the supply cabinet at work, I should start using sketchbooks. So that's what I did.
I'm actually pretty happy with all of these. This first one is a couple of figure sketches.

Then we have a squid guy and a fat man (and a little sketch of what I wanted my office to look like).

And here are a couple of X-Men (Wolverine and Cyclops), and then some randomness.

Introducing Volume 8 of Meeting Notes. I actually like all of these which hail from September and October of ’05.
First up is an intrepid reporter and a contemplative artist type:

Then two traveler types:

And a bit of randomness:

The next exciting installment of meeting notes! So let's see, last time I didn't like any of them what about this week?
Ok, so this first one is a coworker and the man who runs the "mini-meets" where these "notes" are made.

Next is a building (with Spider-man in the background).

Then a few random doodles.

And look, Spock!

And finishing off with a couple other random doodles.

And that finishes off Volume 7. Next time Volume 8, and we are quickly catching up with real time.

Pitt brush pen.

This sketch was done from a photo I took in the walled city of St-Malo on my last trip to France in '03. This is from the top of the wall looking down on the hotel in which I stayed. The sign says "Chien du Guet", which I think means "watchdog".
Things were a little slow at work so I did this to occupy my time. Sketched with my Pocket Brush and the scanned and colored in Photoshop. I was mostly inspired to do this sketch by the amazing
Back Alleys sketches on
Michael Cho's blog. Though my efforts pale in comparison.

More meeting notes.

I'm going to put up another pen review soon. I know I've been slack on that front, but I've still got a bunch in my collection waiting for their chance in the sun. Including a couple of new Heros.
I've been more actively posting on my
Travel Blog, so head on over there for a look. I promise to try to get back to this site soon.

Greetings all. Sorry for the lack of posting for awhile but I've been busy working on a couple of web sites for other people and between that and working on my place I haven't had much extra time to devote to my own endeavors.
I've got a some more fountain pen reviews coming up as well as another posting on how the remodeling is coming along including pictures. And as soon as I have some extra time, I will get to them.
I'm very close to completion on the web site that I'm currently doing and should finish that up Saturday.
Who knows when the remodeling will get done. Hopefully before our impending trip to Dallas and San Francisco in April.
Andy way, on to the meeting notes. Don't have much to say abou these, really. Sorry.

So here we are starting in on Volume 4 of the Meeting Notes books. This one covers April 2003 through September 2003. I think I'm a couple of weeks behind on posting this one, but I'll try to keep it on a weekly basis from now on.
These first two here was days before I left for two and a half weeks in France, hence the poorly drawn woman with the baguette under her arm:
And these two were done right after my return from France. I was never so sad as when that trip was over. Paris is a place in which I immediately felt at home and fell in love with. I could very easily see myself living there someday. I'm currently planning another trip there this year with my girlfriend and I'm very excited about that.

So that's all for now. More next week.

This weeks meeting notes. Well, obviously they weren't done this week, as I'm about two or three years behind in what I'm posting, but they are "this weeks" meeting notes. If you take my meaning.
Any way, without further ado:

Just a bunch of randomness. Which is what most of this stuff is, really. I mean, in meetings, one's mind does sometimes start to wander.
This brings to a close vol. 2 of Meeting Notes. Next time, vol. 3 which covers July '02 through April of '03.

I missed last week. Sorry about that.
I seem to have lost a bit of steam on the web site redesign. Well, I had any way, but I've got a new design in the works and a lot of the groundwork laid, so I'll be getting it together in the next couple of weeks, and should have most of it online soon.
In the meantime, here are more meeting notes.

As promised, we start on volume 2.

A little early this week on the meeting notes, but I don't know if I'll have a chance to post any tomorrow.
This is the end of volume one. Still no dates on any of this stuff for the most part. I got better about dating things later on. The last date I could find was on the second to last sketch, which is November 7, 2001.
Haven't got much to say about these, they are what they are. And what they mostly are is bad. Oh well, not everyone is a winner.

Next time I start in on Volume 2, which, as near as I can tell covers from November 2001 to June or mid-July 2002. Stay tuned for the fun.

It's time once again for meeting notes! Yay! Today's meeting notes mostly involve me playing around with a brush pen I picked up, most likely at Uwajimaya.
The Soccer Ball fish in this first one is a sketch for a comic I was working on at the time called "Whatever Happened To Number 5" about a soccer playing robot. I got about 15 pages in before petering out.

This is the only outlier, as it was done in pencil (oh yeah, the speach bubble contains what is one of my favorite Simpson's quotes: "Stupid babies need the most attention!" ):

Three images tonight. The first one is, of course, Spider-man. He pops up a lot in these notes. He's lots of fun to draw. Plus, I see I've written the word "slather" at the top. I don't remember why, but it is a fun word.

These other two are just random doodles.

Twice weekly my department has what are ironically called "mini-meets". During these, I take copious notes, of course, but I do find the time to do the occasional doodle. It is these that I'm going to share with you.
This first batch is from sometime in '01, I wasn't too good about writing down exact dates at this point.
Here's the cover to Volume 1 (there are 6 so far):

This next image is all ready a bit of a cheat, as I don't think it was actually done at a meeting. It's supposed to be
Gillian Welch I think.

And finally a couple of headshots. The top one is supposed to be our managing editor, but I'm terrible at likenesses.
